Today I took my mom to get her haircut. The hairdresser used to cut my hair and my kids’ hair about 20 years ago before I moved away. It is always fun to see her as she always has interesting things to say. She loves my kids, especially the younger one and tells stories about him to her other customers. Today she had a surprise for me. She pulled out a picture that was taken the last time my sons and I were at her salon before we moved. When I looked at it, I remembered having it taken so she could remember us. It brought back many memories and more stories of our visits there. Little did we know, I would be back there in person quite a few years later. She wanted me to keep the picture, so I took it home. That was very thoughtful as I knew how much it meant to her. I will make a copy of it so she can have it back. I can’t wait to show it to my kids.
