The Newest Teacher

A young woman I know graduated from college a few years ago and has wanted to be a teacher. She has been working at a pre-school and the pictures I see of her with the kids there are precious. I feel she is truly gifted to work with them. The test required for teachers in the state she lives in has been a stumbling block for her as she struggles when she tests. A few months ago she took the test one more time and passed it. Then came the next hard part – finding a job. She applied and interviewed for one in particular that seemed to be perfect, but did not get the job. Everyone encouraged her not to loose hope and to keep the faith. When she was in high school, she came across the scripture Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know well the plans I have in mind for you—says the LORD—plans for your welfare and not for woe, so as to give you a future of hope.” It is still the one she clings to. Her mom told me today that she had a job interview at a Christian K-12 school. I said some prayers for her right away and when I thought of her during the day. I found out later that she did get the job – and the school classes begin next week. God cut it pretty close, but He came through.

I Found God today in a young woman receiving a job that she has been striving for.
