Beautiful Drive

This morning, I woke up early again at the cabin to an interesting sound. At first, I thought it was a siren. Then I heard yipping dogs. I concluded it was coyotes. I went out on the deck and listened to them. The sound seemed to be coming from the valley just across the road. I have never heard them carry on so much. They would quiet down for a minute, then one of them would start up the high-pitched scream again and they would all start up yipping and howling. I listened for quite some time, wishing I could see them, but I never did. I packed up and left early so I could get home and to church. It was freezing outside and a heavy layer of fog laid on top of the ground. When then sun beamed on an area, the fog would actively evaporate, ascending into the sky. It was a beautiful drive home through the mountains. When I reached the city, I saw hot air balloons hovering over the skyline. I remembered it was the city’s big event this weekend. I thanked God for the wonderful sights and safe drive home.

I Found God today in a beautiful drive.
