Finding God in All Things

Today I came across the words, “finding God in all things”, attributed to St Ignatius Loyola. When I researched further, I learned that the Society of Jesus – Jesuit – order was founded in 1540 by St. Ignatius. Part of their mission statement reads:

“Our spirituality is grounded in the conviction that God is active in our world. The spiritual path laid out by Ignatius helps us discern God’s presence, to find God in all things, reaching out to a diverse, grace filled yet imperfect world. We bring this spirituality into the wider human context as we strive for social justice, peace and dialogue.”

I had never heard this before. I guess I wasn’t the first one to come up with the idea of finding God in every day life. And now I feel connected to the Jesuits.

I Found God today in the Jesuits finding God.
