My mom finished her second week of voice therapy and is doing a good job practicing at home. Now for one of her exercises, she reads inspirational quotes out loud. I am sure this is dual purpose – it helps to strengthen her voice AND her spirit. I have enjoyed listening to them as well and try to motivate myself. Today in the mail my mom received a prayer book with some quotes from Fr. Padre Pio, “Pray, hope, and don’t worry. Worry is useless. God is merciful and will hear your prayer.” Also today I came across a quote shared by a friend that made an impact on me. “There are only two days in the year when nothing can be done. One is called yesterday and the other is called tomorrow, so today is the right day to love, believe, do, and mostly live.” Dalai Lama. These were some really great words of wisdom that I hope to keep in mind.
