For the past couple of days, I have had conversations with people about their gardens and have seen social media posts from other friends. It seems that most who live in this area have been struggling with their vegetables this year. Perhaps due to the extreme fluctuating weather – very wet, then very hot and dry. For the first time since I have lived here, I put some tomato plants and a pepper plant in pots outside. To my surprise, they grew vegetables – tiny vegetables. The 4 peppers were about as big as my finger. But they were tasty. The tomatoes are about the size of blueberries, and they are also yummy. And there are many more of them still coming. It is very exciting to me. My gardening friends are more skilled than I am. But I enjoyed sharing my tiny tomato story with them.
