So, I turned another year older today. The well wishes started last night when my son, who is in a time zone 2 hours ahead, called at 12:01 his time as it was officially my birthday. That was clever.  The morning my mom and dad sang “Happy Birthday” to me. I thanked them for making me and told them they were pretty smart in doing so. As the day progressed, I received phone calls, cards, texts, and messages. It made me very happy that others would take the time to connect. Later in the day, my parents and I watched the movie, “The Way” with Martin Sheen. I had seen it before, but bought it recently and wanted to see it again. The movie is about a man who traveled the The “Camino” – the Way of St. James. It is a route from France through Spain ending at the Cathedral of St. James. I was glad my parents enjoyed it, even though it is pretty emotional. All in all, it was a pretty great day.

I Found God today in celebrating the way many people reached out to wish me a happy birthday.
