Family Care

Two years ago, my son had surgery on his back to relieve the pressure from a bulging disc. At that time, the doctor saw that the disc just above was showing the same problem. He figured he would see my son back again in a few months. My son made it as long as he could. He had another surgery this morning. My grandson took him while I got the two younger kids to school and my daughter in law to physical therapy. My grandson kept his mom updated and informed of all the details and doctor’s instructions. We were all amazed that the surgery took only about forty-five minutes and my son was home by lunchtime. He said he was feeling pretty good. My grandson was a great nurse as he helped him get settled into bed and got his space set up for him. After getting some rest, my son even got up and walked around a bit. My daughter in law walked around and up and down the stairs quite a bit today. She was pretty worn out after making chicken Parmesan for dinner as she promised her son that she would make it for him. When I left, she was off her feet, my son was napping, and my grandson was happy to be of service. It was a blessing to know the surgery was successful, to see my daughter in law starting to get back on her feet, and to see the care my grandson gives to his family.

I Found God today in family care.
