Today is the first day of Advent. I loved seeing the giant wreath at church with the giant candles. Back at home I prayed the Advent wreath blessing and lit the first candle. I found a good list of Advent music on YouTube that includes the lyrics and enjoyed singing along best as I could. I was also excited to open the first bag of puzzle pieces and started making the nativity puzzle. I went out for a bit tonight and when I got home, I was greeted by 6 beautifully lit angels. The houses on either side of the entry to our complex have made it a tradition to create a festive, welcoming display. They each started with 1 angel. Now they each have 3 with matching light displays as well. Advent has officially started.
