Many months ago, my prayer group “adopted” a young couple who were expecting their first baby when we met. They both had no family living here, so we made ourselves available to them. We were glad we met as shortly after the baby was born, he spent time in the NICU on oxygen. We provided meals for them and ran errands as needed. He finally was cleared to be taken off the oxygen a few weeks ago. This past weekend many family members came as the infant was Baptized. I was so glad the mom shared photos with us. And I was so happy for them to have made it through such a difficult time to such a joyous occasion with their family members present.
