Today at church, we celebrated the Holy Family – Mary, Joseph, and Jesus. The deacon talked about how he got together with his family over Christmas. The crowd consisted of grandparents, parents, children, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandchildren. He realized how important the role of each relationship played in the development of the younger generations. He explained that the parents obviously play a huge part in the upbringing of their children, but there are so many other people who contribute. There are teachers, mentors, coaches, and so many who are a part of their lives. It is important for each of us to remember that also as we are in contact with others. Our lives can truly influence others – especially the children who we are deeply connected with.
I Found God today in a reminder our responsibility to help form young people.
