The main reason for my trip was to attend my grandson’s Confirmation. After getting in late last night, I was up early this morning for the celebration. It was beautiful, of course, and I prayed the Holy Spirit really become a part of the lives of the young people who received the Sacrament. The bishop gave a great homily that I felt was very relevant. He talked about how we communicate and encouraged the newly Confirmed to drop quick “texts” to the Holy Spirit during the day. He said that just a quick, “Come Holy Spirit” or “Help me God” or other short prayers will be heard, but we must make sure to initiate that conversation. It was a great take away. I felt very blessed to be there with my sons, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren. My younger grandson will be receiving Confirmation next year and wanted to make sure I would be there. I promised I would try.
I Found God today as my grandson was Confirmed.
