Last night I watched a video of an amazing conversion. The young woman at the center of the story was abused from a very young age. She told the story of how she was able to escape from her situation and how God saved her life. He did this through Christian women who were committed to walking the rough road with her. One evening they decided to watch the first episode of The Chosen. The depiction of Mary Magdalen resonated with the young woman and led her to give her life to Jesus Christ. The photos of her in her darkest times compared to her most joyful were astonishing. Unfortunately, she later found that she had a terminal illness. She remains prayerfully surrounded by her new community as she struggles. The entire video and story was full of beauty, inspiration, tragedy, mercy, healing, and hope.
