The sleepless weekend at the cabin took a little bit of a toll on my mother. She slept long and hard last night, which was great for me because I slept as well. She got up this morning later than usual, took her first set of pills, and went back to bed. A few hours later, she made it to the kitchen for breakfast and went back to bed again. By the afternoon, she was able to get cleaned up, dressed, and functioning. She even did some exercises. So, while she was exhausted, it was a blessing to be able to just rest today as much as needed with no worries or schedule. It felt good for us both. I was glad that after the struggle of the cabin adventure, the joy, the emotion, and the complete change of routine, that the only repercussion was tiredness. Resting was a welcomed break.
I Found God today in resting.
