When my mom got up this morning, she seemed to be more confused than normal. After talking with her and letting some time pass, the confusion lingered. I wondered what this was. Was it from a new medication? Was it low sodium – because it was checked a couple weeks ago and was running on the lower end? Was it a UTI? Was it a TIA? Was it a progression of the Parkinson’s dementia? I called her doctor’s office and spoke to the doctor on call. He said to take her to the emergency room, which is what I knew he would say. So off we went. After all the testing and several hours, they found that she had a urinary tract infection. They gave her fluids and antibiotics and sent us home. I was grateful for the diagnosis, for an immediate answer and speedy help, and that it was nothing more serious.
I Found God today getting an answer and help for mom.
