Today was my brother-in-law’s birthday. He has been working diligently to finish clearing out their apartment so he can move out to the east coast. My sister moved out there almost a year ago as their retirement house was ready sooner than they anticipated. Their plan was for my brother-in-law to finish up his job here. However, my sister became very ill earlier this year and has been having a difficult time recovering. My brother-in-law went to care for her and has been working remotely. He has been so good to her and truly puts her health and needs first. And now he is taking care of all the things that need to be done here so he can go there permanently. He even coordinated with my other sister to be with our sister while he is away. Today we were on a Zoom call with my siblings as well. The way that my brother-in-law was positioned, the light behind him looked like a halo from time to time. My sister said he looked like an angel. He said he is many things, but not an angel. I disagreed.
