I was happy to see another feast day celebrating Our Lady of Lourdes. Today I recounted my own miracle story to a couple who had not heard it. They talked about their own experience visiting Lourdes. Today they were praying for a young woman they know who is battling cancer, going into her 4th round of chemotherapy. The woman said she knows she could be healed, as I was healed. That reminded me that I don’t know why I was healed. I am no better than anyone else on this planet and I have have made plenty mistakes. I am a sinner just like everyone. It was a very humbling thought. I wondered if I was living in gratitude and up to the standard that I should be. It definitely gave me reason to pause, ponder, and pray.
