The ladies in our community go to lunch once a month. My mom has thought about going, but not committed. Today seemed like the perfect opportunity. We met about 14 others in the restaurant. My mom knew a couple, as did I. They were all very warm and friendly and invited my mom into their conversations. She did great. Later in the afternoon, my son’s girlfriend dropped by and brought some baked goods. We had a really nice visit with her and the treats were delicious. Then my mom received an unexpected box. It was some puzzles sent by a friend. My mom got teary eyed as she read the thoughtful note. It was a lovely valentine’s day with chocolate to top it off.
