Home Safe

This morning I got up early, ate the quick free breakfast at the hotel, and hit the road. I started by driving through a scenic forest and wildlife preserve that I wanted to see. The views were stunning and the windy road included a couple of super narrow 1 car tunnels, which were very fun to drive through. There weren’t too many people, which allowed me to take my time and enjoy the unique beauty of the spired rocks. Once I came to the wildlife area, I saw a couple of buffalo. That was exciting. The further I went, the more I saw. There were a couple herds with probably 30 buffalo in each. And they all had some babies too. I watched and was entertained for quite a while. Upon leaving the park, I was on a mission for home. Once I crossed my state line, I still had 3 hours of driving to go. But I was also energized because I felt I was so close. I arrived home safely about 13 hours after I left the hotel. That was a long day of driving. There was a stretch of highway that had incredibly strong winds and I felt like I had a workout just keeping the car on the road. Other than that, all was well. I was happy that my brother was at my house to greet me. As a bonus, he helped unload the car. Then I talked all about my trip and the family I visited and the sights I saw. It was good to release some of that pent up driving energy. I had a wonderful trip and felt so grateful for every part of it. And I am looking forward to sleeping in my own bed.

I Found God today arriving home safely from my trip.
