This morning I prayed the rosary. Traditionally, the Glorious Mysteries are prayed on Wednesdays which focus on the Resurrection, Ascension, Coming of the Holy Spirit, Assumption of Mary, and Crowning of Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth as described in the book of Revelation. As I meditated on these biblical events, I realized what a difference 3 days made. When Jesus was crucified, the horror, sorrow, and suffering were unbelievable – for Jesus in one way and for His mother and disciples in another way. Just 3 days later they were speaking with one another. The exhilaration must have been off the charts. In this way we are shown that, with faith, through much suffering comes amazing joy. Personally, I just want to live in the joy. However, that is simply not possible in this world, in this life. There are ups and downs, sorrows and joys. Over the past couple of years, I have found that I am much more aware of the joys, big and small, and grateful for them all.

I Found God today in the joy that is possible after suffering.
