Beautiful Hope

I received some mail today from my thoughtful cousin. The package included an issue of Strength & Grace Devotional by Guideposts and a copy of Matthew Kelly’s book, “Beautiful Hope”. Matthew Kelly has a way of speaking and writing in a way that is meaningful, relevant, understandable, and simple. I opened the book and started reading right away. It stated with a couple stories of how real people found and shared real hope in our world that is struggling. One statement that stood out to me was, “God’s hope can be experienced and spread at any age, in any state of life, anytime, anywhere. All it takes is an open heart and a willing spirit.” And there’s the kicker. Openness. It is all too easy to get caught up in our lives’ problems and stresses, or perhaps in our lives’ ordinary daily hum. There is more – much more – that we can experience with God. It’s a matter of taking that first step out of our “normalcy”.

I Found God today reminded that He offers each of us a Beautiful Hope.
